I think i'll upgrade on another partition but there are a lot of things that only just work on my 12.04 that I don't feel i can afford to lose. So judgemental as it sounds I don't think expect to be jumping in right away

I want to go away from 12.10. If not to 13.04 then at least to 12.04

I did upgrade to development version because of bugs with the 3.5 kernel, the 3.8 works so much better with my computer.
Plus, this version is really fast and stable for a development version. The final release is worth upgrading ;-)

With 6GB RAM, I don't think there will be a significant improvement in speed from my current 12.04 LTS.
So I don't think I'll be upgrading anytime soon.

On my desktop i will probably stick with 12.04 for a few years. But my laptop is certainly going to test drive anything new.

I can say that, Ubuntu 13.04 alpha version was looking faster and more stable than Ubuntu 12.04 LTS :D
