Housing activists want the poll tax eliminated in the municipalities that still use it. Thoughts?

The poll tax is inherently unfair and regressive; the province needs to abolish it

I don't think it's that unfair; everyone should pay some kind of tax, including renters

I actually didn't know that this tax still existed

Maybe we need a broader look at municipal taxation and sources of revenue
