I meant to say, "catered these trailers..."

If you can extrapolate the plot of a movie from 2-3 second flashes of video, you need to be working for Homeland Security or the CIA. Just get over yourself. If they catered these movies just to nerds, they wouldn't make a fraction of the money they make off these movies. Thumbs up Hollywood.

I agree with you Rod. I only want to see a glimps of the special effects for a great franchise like Marvel or Batman. But I need at least 7 - 10 minutes of trailer for any post New Jack City Mario Van Peebles film. Lets face it. We all want that $5 back for SOLO.

One of the big examples for me was the movie Funny People, I swear Adam Sandler got cancer and went into remission twice in the span of a minute and a half!

I think that trailers these days are mini movies basically. If I already know what happens, then I'll wait til it's at the Redbox or on cable. I like the 5-10 min. preview though. It gives you a taste without reveiling anything that you should HAVE TO WATCH the movie to find out.
