I think the teacher should be made to take time off w/o pay as her behavior was uncalled for. There is no justifiable reason ANY child should be made to lick a unsanitary desk or anything else. If it was my child I would be raising all kinds of HE@#. There was another way to punish the child without going to those measures.

First of all, the filth on that desk must have been overwhelming. I'm going to go so far as to remind you of how few kids wash their and after they go to the bathroom, very few I believe.
It was wrong doodling, but this is way to much, no matter what the reason.
I put fired but I'm not so sure we should go that far. What need done, I don't know.
IF MY SON, WHICH IS ALSO IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, CAME HOME AND TOLD ME THAT ABOUT A TEACHER. I CAN ALMOST GUARENTEE THAT, THAT TEACHER WOULD BE LICKING THE DIRT OFF THE BOTTOM OF MY SONS SHOES. BECAUSE IF THE SCHOOL DID NOT FIRE THAT TEACHER THEN I WOULD MAKE SURE SHE WOULD QUIT.
