Are Black People Worried About How Charles Ramsey Is Perceived Because They Are Secretly Ashamed Of Him?

Charles Ramsey rescued some kidnapped girls, knew he was on the air and articulated himself well, and showed America that he was a hardworking gainfully employed citizen. So what is there to be ashamed of?

I notice a lot that reporters have no problem getting people out of their comfort zone when interviewing them in hopes of getting great footage for air. So I loved how Charles knew the red light was on, stayed himself, and actually made the reporter uncomfortable.

Fuck the second part of my first comment. Charles is my nugga!... even if he beats his wife and Momma.

I have to give him respect as a human being, BUT...
We have to admit that he's not the nigga that we would all love to see on TV. This nigga is white supremacist gold.

They're ashamed of themselves. That self hatred is strong young. The blacker the berry, the more natural the hair, the more nigglets you got in the display cases in your house, sometimes, the more you're really trying to cover up some deep rooted self hatred. White people don't really do this stuff. The Backing It Up lady and Double Rainbow dude didn't catch this kind of flack.
On another note...Bob beat and cheated on Rita (Marley.) Martin cheated on Coretta. Heroes beat women too. Uncle Charles is being himself. Anything else would be him frontin. The only issue I take is that his story keeps changing. I'm sure most of it is due to the excitement of the situation but on the 911 call he said he had no idea who the chick was and in the TV interview he said "I thought, why am I calling 911 for Amanda Berry, ain't she dead" or something like that. There are a few other things, but i'ma let Uncle Charles cook. This is one of the reasons why I love AMURICA, young. The EveryMan, who reminds us of our joke cracking uncle, also can be a hero. He seems like an honest, stand up dude. People need to have a stadium full of seats. Don't project your own self hate on what or who you think this man should be. I'm not laughing AT him, i'm laughing WITH him. He is laughing. The dude is funny and he knows it.

I think some people put too much thought into this. I laughed because the dude was funny and real. He reminds me of some of my relatives. I think some black people get on their high horse that try to silence anything that doesn't fit into their middle class black idea. Ramsey is an awesome dude who stepped up where a lot people would have ignored what was going on.

Everybody here in Cleveland loves him. The right person saved those women. His past should be just that. He has spoken openly about it and he stated that it helped him become a better person. People love to judge but what would you have done if it was you at that door. I don't know what I would do if I seen some young girl banging at a door asking for help. And as for the emergency dispatchers when they heard it was Amanda Berry in trouble they should have known it would be on the news or some sort media attention it's been big news for many years.

Mr. Ramsey did a really great thing, and he didn't try to change who he was for an interview. So if someone has a problem with who he is then its that person's problem. Love the podcast keep making it great.
