The Volt is ahead of its time as far as technology goes. It is the first vehicle to use the engine as a generator, not to propel the vehicle. They are expensive yes but repairs seem to be looking cheaper than that of a Prius when necessary. Throw in the CAFE standards and the demand for vehicles that rely less on fossil fuels and it's a no brainer that the Volt isn't going away anytime soon, at least the techology won't. As a matter of fact I have heard they are talking about doing a Cadillac version of the Volt. You can expect probably another $10k give or take to be added onto the price with that Caddy name but hey, if you're in the market for a Cadillac it won't hurt you.

I read an article that reflected that sales numbers for the Volt now outnumber those of the Corvette and I anticipate growth in these numbers will continue. It's a ground-breaking car (electric primarily and gas-powered secondarily) with looks that don't resemble a jellybean.
