The Equinox is definitely a better bang for the buck with its Superior rear storage area. Also I don't have much faith in these rinky dinky turbo charged engines that never get you the fuel economy they are rated for as the engine has to spin faster during the average persons driving habits. It should be a 2.0L turbo. If I wanted to buy a Korean made vehicle I would buy a Kia or a Hundai. My mechanic has nothing good to say about the Encore or the Traxx.
The Chevy Equinox has been around for awhile and has a good reliability record. Encore is too new to know how good it is yet. Secondly, the Equinox has significantly more cargo space, which is important to me.
