You know where I live... 20 miles into town either way, to Natchitoches or to Many. We eat out a lot less since moving to the boonies. Although we eat mostly at home, I only cook about 3 times a week. When the kids left home, I just kept cooking like they were here. My Honey will eat left-overs just as long as I want to set them before him, if it is something that turned out ok. That is a real blessing... When I hear someone say their hubby does not eat leftovers, I think, "He would starve at my house", or perhaps HE would learn to cook too!
