I also emphasize , I just lost my husband for the same disease 7 months ago and my brother in law one week ago .. So many are dying from it this year it is an atrocious amount. I think it is a plague. I don't know if using any " word" would shock anyone anymore but surely this "word " should stop being used along with others used in music. It only brings attention ( you may think ) but this word is like saying "dirt". It has worn out it's shock value. It is said everywhere by almost everyone . Be "ladies" refrain , respect your self.
I am from the older generation and find it offensive.. It starts with RESPECT and there is NO respect for each other even in families or loved ones these days . That word just comes naturally with people sad to say. Children should be protected from words in general that are offensive or abuse from the mouth.
These girls loved their mom and should respect her memory and it can start with them in their family . Walk away and be grateful they had such a love connection . Don't bring hate in to their lives.. Love each other there is JOY in the Mourning.
Bringing attention to the disease is not the answer. Prayer is the answer, the only answer.

While I totally emphasize with the family, maybe "Fight Cancer" might have been more appropriate on the hats.
