I suspect, thought, that when it's at that level? Either EVERYONE is in on the joke or there is no professional work going on at all there, ever, so it doesn't matter that he was super-wilding out by going into her phone. That he got fired ONLY teaches him a lesson about power dynamics IF he's not privileged (which he was, clearly: who does THAT?!). If he's privileged (again, likely)? All he'll "learn" is his former boss is uptight and a wet blanket. Which means he'll learn nothing and blame her.
So, I think he shouldn't have been fired. Moreover? I don't think he needs to apologize. Sounds like she let him slide too many times. She wasn't a true boss; she was too busy kee-keeing on the clock.
Actually? I don't care about either of these folks. Fire him. Rehire him. Sorry Rod: I think he'd wash your car in a jokey fashion and you'd be more ticked than anything (though even a bad carwash is still good if it's free).

He should stay fired. You don't go through your boss's phone ever, in my opinion, and if you're stupid enough to, you damn sho ain't supposed to be sending out the most profane shit to just random people. If I was his boss, I'd have fired that nigga too. You should know better! One of the worst possible recipients a person could imagine receiving something sent from their phone actually received that picture, her pops. The only person worse that could have gotten the pic would be her current boyfriend. Fuck that, he should stay fired for being a dumb ass.

It makes more sense for him to be written up and harassed on the job than to be fired i think. Let us not be swayed so quickly to end this game... It's like taking the basketball and going home because you got dunked on and the dude put his sweaty balls in your face. It hurt our pride and possibly your sense of cleanliness (or respectability), but ending it like that just seals in the event... You didn't even give yourself a chance to go down in the history books for the most sweet revenge! The boss' fun could just be beginning if the employee stays on though, living out the next few months with the shame of being the boss' personal purveyor of crap-work...
