  • S - 11 years ago

If HT wouldn't be such a Congress lacky, they would show real percentages which would be closer to 80 % in Modi's favor.

  • Rahul - 11 years ago

Yes, It will lost beyond 2014 elections. Very bad news for congress and it's media!!

  • R Prasad - 11 years ago

Hmmm Advani got 1% votes, he is unbeatable hahaha.

  • Truth Speaks - 11 years ago

Both Manmohan and even Nitish have got more votes than Advani. Definitely Adavani is a loser and will destroy the whole BJP if nominated for PM post.

We want Indian born Prime Minister and not foreign born as Sonia Gandhi. The country belongs to Indians and not Italian(s).It will be a slap on the face of each and every one of us if Sonia Gandhi does become Prime Minister of India. What an insult if she become the head of the Government.

  • suren - 11 years ago

hindustan times how much money u got from modi for this false cmpaign?

  • R.kumar - 11 years ago

modi the only solution for india. to prevent high level corruption in politics and dynastic politics.

  • B Rajendu - 11 years ago

I have two cents on the discussions on "Who fits to be good PM": This apparent juicy topic has ignored the fact that our electoral process is not a presidential election process that USA or other countries have, for that matter. So this entire discussion is redundant and premature. On the other hand, when we have included every Tom and Dick on this opinion poll why we do not bring the name of Manik Serker, the most poor, honest and one of efficient CMs of India?! So these are all nothing but media hype.

  • avinash - 11 years ago

The kind of situation in which India has been placed by Congree Inc., the only option is to the bring Modi as PM with a majority NDA government. Modi without full majority would not serve the purpose as he would not be able to perform as well. SO, SAVE INDIA, VOTE MODI

  • RAJIV - 11 years ago

Having seen the worst governance in congress regime, we have to look for other options, and there are not many. Out of available options, Modi is the best choice as he has proved himself to be a strong leader providing good governance in Gujrat. Forget Godhra as he himself would not like to be associated with such incidents.

  • Murali Faridabad - 11 years ago

India wants a person like MODI JI, because Indian people want a modification from the current situations, mainly corruption. We need a person who can act at appropriate time.

  • Jaggi Walia - 11 years ago

I think Srinivasan of CSK-BCCI (de)fame has learnt the art of denial/survival from Dr ManMOUN Singh. I wish Dr Singh could sue Srinivisan for breach of copyrights for the art of Lies/Denials/ducking awkward questions and ultimately the art of using super glue to stick to his chair at any and every cost which he has practiced for the last 9 years shamelessly under firm control of Italian mafia. Paap ka ghara bhar chuka hai. It is high time all of us wake up and see the truth as to how our beloved motherland and economy has been allowed to be raped and ruined by one of the greatest Economist(World Bank agent -I do not know) who has perfected the art of dancing to the tunes of puppet mistress. Andher nagri choupat raja-take seir bhaji take seir khaja.LET THERE BE CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT. It may be NDA, 3rd,4th or 10th front.Enough is enough and we do not want more blunders and looting by the HAND of Congress in the name of AAM ADMI and bogus money wasting schemes in order to get cheep popularity for getting votes.

  • S.Balasubramanian - 11 years ago

One must be a very convoluted mind not vote for Modi as PM. You must be so (convoluted) arising out of some self interest or motivation, like the Modi bashing industry and paid media who are doing it for financial gains and exploitation of the minorities and marginalized sections or even worse one must be a feeble and fickle mind fully deluded by the propaganda unleashed by these vested interest groups. It is probably the latter who must have voted for Rahul Gandhi - as high as 16%!! You mean there are 16% of India who belong to the educated class who are deluded and allowed themselves to be swayed by propaganda. If it was an intellectual choice, and intellectually you don't somehow accept Modi, then everyone else including Nitish, Manmohan Singh or even Sonia would be considered to have some remote attributes which you may bring to surface and choose them. But Rahul Gandh!!!? That choice is evidence of sheer unadulterated delusion fitting the Sanskrit term "Moodha" to the T. How can one be such a hater of the country to punish the motherland to be led a virtual nincompoop, who has zilch to show as personal attributes excepting the accident of his birth to the owners of Congress.
India is indeed a strange country. A party like Congress, which is probably more power and profit oriented than even the Ambanis, right from its inception,(excepting for the few decades of freedom movement, when Gandhi followed by other patriots, joined it - a colossal mistake which the whole country has realized now after seeing the Congress led by Nehru Gandhi family post independence) is accepted. If there are such large number of educated fools in the country, I don't blame the uneducated, who are fully exploited by the Congress.

IF Gujarati's the most SUCESSFULL BUSINESS people HAS CHOOSEN MODI FOR 3 TIMES. IT CANNOT BE JUST FOR TIME PASS!

  • Ghanshyam Dass Gupta - 11 years ago

The main problem is the casteism and the corruption in the country along with the slave tendency of we people, Modi has awakened the people showing his capablity to give good governance to the nation,
secularism word is being misused by the politician for their petty interest, for these people interest of
nation is the last priority, people of country need development and eradication of corruption, which
can only be solved by Modi to some extent, at the present time, hence Modi is the most suitable man to
become the PM of the country...........

  • Jatin - 11 years ago

Guys first I am very sorry for bashing & being judgmental on Mr Modi in past based on his image created by Congress and biased paid Indian Media that he don't believe in democracy & is anti farmer. I just happened to see his recent speeches in Sri Ram College, India Today Conclave, TV 18 shows etc when insisted by one of my friend and want to tell you proudly that after seeing them on you tube, please count me as one of his true fan. I am MoDi-fied, Modi Sir you are great. Hats off to you … taufa Kabul kar lo… We need you to save this country. So proud that we have such leader. My vote is not for Congress, Not to BJP..its for NaMo NaMo NaMo….I can clearly see you being PM of this country and making us superpower in next 10 yrs.

  • sanjib kumar prusty - 11 years ago

country is facing more corruption and price rise. congress has no power to control the same. modi has the voice and courage to tackle the same. if modi became prime minister, then every problem of india will solve automatically.

  • kaushik Biswas - 11 years ago

It is very high time when we need to think something beyond making the road,100-days work, reservation etc.
We need a leader who will think of new technologies, more research center, quality education for each child. We need a thinker. We need a leader. I found that leadership quality in Mr Modi. I want my next generation to live in a developed INDIA, where no farmer will commit suicide, every child will get quality education, reservation on basis of economical background not in the name of caste.India has a power of billion human resource,if everyone will be well-managed,everyone means everyone...a farmer,a labor,a grocery store owner,a small business man, a PhD scholar,a techie, a scientist, a doctor , everyone will be well-managed, then that will be "Asli Bharat Nirman". Only a PM cant bring this change. We have to play ours role in this development. But we need a good leader in the name of PM of India.

  • D Bhattacharya - 11 years ago

I fully agree with the views of Tintin. The position of Rahul Gandhi has been hiped artificially. Actually he should get the least priority as there is no substance in this fellow. Narendra Modi should get 100% vote.

As compared to others as of today shri.Narendra modi is the best choice as PM. people will certainly vote for him but the leaders of BJP should not scuttle it due to personal jeolous. If so BJP will lose an excellant opportunity to rule the country.

  • Vivek - 11 years ago

we are not saying that Modi will change the picture of the nation immediately, but yes he is the only one who can do this out of all the available options for PM.

  • Bakuldalal - 11 years ago

Very happy to see Bharat moving towards meritocracy.

Question is what proportion of Indian population reads and participates in these surveys online?

  • Nikhil - 11 years ago

is there any way we can outsource this governane. it will be great. we must call china to bid for this. My vote will be for them. Italy isnt working well.

  • Tintin - 11 years ago

The HT poll seems to be rigged. They seem to have increased Rahul's number by at least 10% points. Other polls elsewhere showed some consistency. HP might be trying to artificially lift Rahul's position. Anyway, if Rahul did speak some sense, they would already have made him the prospective PM. I noticed at least one cheer-leader hailing him loud for his remark yesterday that the Maoist attack was not on congress leaders but on India.

  • Upadhyaya BR - 11 years ago

With spread of education among youths n deliverance from command Nehruvian economy by mr Rao has ultimately matured the middle class voter to bury despotic dynastic rule, strengthen national security and make all inclusive huge strides in national construction.

  • Hunter Punter - 11 years ago

Paid Modi bloggers can gloat as much as they want, based on internet responses. When the elections take place, India votes. AAM Aadmi party has vanished, and Modi will vanish in the same way. Indeed Inflation is a concern, but the prices are same in all staters and cities. Agriculture is a state subject. Also, consumers price rise, is also farmers rise in income. The rest is taken away by the middle man, who is a BJP supporter. Come 2014, Congress will be back in power.

  • shubha - 11 years ago

Modi is the true son of mother India....A statesman...a visionary...sere hard worker...Country needs him desparetely....

  • Imran - 11 years ago

Two things will happen if Modi becomes PM.
One; Corruption, the root cause for India's pity state, will be lowered.
Two; Religious polarisation will further increase. Muslims if not eliminated will be marginalised. And this will again account to corruption and uncertainty.
This means, factor One will equalize factor Two, and India will remain as it is.
We need a person with clean intention and clear vision for India as all inclusive and developed society. As per the current list, I don't see anyone fulfilling both of these. So my vote is a distrust in the system.
    I will not vote.

MODI BJP voters are driven by one reason, INDIAN GREATNESS POTENTIAL ACHIEVEMENTS, SUCCESS, GREATNESS LIKE THAT OF China----------

CONgress voters are driven by FEAR, FEAR, MORE FEAR, ie, India will die without CONgress dynasty, FEAR OF UNKNOWN, FEAR OF CHANGE, FEAR OF OLD INDIAN SCARED MINDSET. FEAR OF FEAR----------

Just like Ganguly killed Indian Cricket foreign BIG BODIES, OLD FEAR DRIVEN COWARD MINDSET, MODI BJP will kill India FEAR OF FEARS if given long enough chance----------- Indian Modern growth economy started after BJP came to power in 1998, before than 65 years CONgress down, down, bankrupt India selling gold reserve to survive..

These are the paid surveys, people should not believe it. Modi is manipulating things, can go any extend before the general election. But it will be his dream only to become the PM. Any sane person will understand it if Modi can bribe US senators to speak on his favour why he cannot apply the same for these type of survey. Contacting 4000 people to conduct these survey, has no relevance at all. Constitution speaks different. PM is choosen on the basis of maximum number of MPs one gets? In the next election it will far distant for BJP to get even 100 seats?

  • HinduRashta - 11 years ago

Why should CM Modi apologize for 2002 riots? Should he apologize because he brought Justice to people who started the riots by burning people alive? Should he apologize because he called and deployed army within 24 hours? Should he apologize for giving shoot at site orders within 24 hours? Should he apologize for allowing more than 10,000 rounds of firing? Should he apologize because 199 people were killed in police firing? Should he apologize because only 35000 people were arrested for riots related crime? Should he apologize because riots were contained to only 2% of Gujarat? Should he apologize because riots were over within days rather than in months as it was norms in Congress rule? Should he apologize because his request for additional police force were rejected by Congress led MP, Rajasthan and Maharashtra Government? Should he apologize because he punished those who took law in their hand? Should he apologize for asking for death penalty for himself if found Guilty? Should he apologize by limiting mortality of Muslims only to 790? Should he apologize because 350 Hindus were also killed in riots? Should he apologize because hundreds are already convicted of riots related crime? Should he apologize because he stopped riots culture in Gujarat by punishing criminals rather them letting them free ride as happened in all previous riots in Congress rule?
Compare this with any other riots and anyone can know who needs to apologize. Delhi riots more than 3000 dead, less than 500 rounds of police firing, none killed in police firing, less than 500 arrested, very few convicted, congress forget to call Army for 72 hours. Congress leader defended reaction in public.

That's frightening look at the mindset of our country, that a person who has the blood of 3000 people on his hands is considered as a leader of the country? The hatred against Minorities and Dalits who constitute more than 40 crores of our population and their polarisation from the mainstream will spell disaster for our country. The philosophy of RSS and their right-wing offshoots like BJP who idolize Hitler and his fascism is going to take our country down the drain and will become like Sri Lanka and Ireland.
