I've made several Morris chairs over the years. In fact I'm just finishing up a chair with ottoman, a rocker and a couch. They are looking great and will be super comfy.
I enjoy the podcast, keep chuckling.

I'm in the process of building my first chairs now...two of Gerrit Rietveld's iconic Red Blue Chairs. It's been a long haul with work and a lot of travel these past couple months, but they are coming together. When these are done I'll take a crack at one of his Steltman Chairs as well.

Friends who have tell me if you don't buy plans (and build someone else's chair) then you have to build several to get the height and angles right and make a comfortable chair ! Life's too short to build that many chairs!

I built my wife a Library folding chair at her request. I must admit I didn't understand some parts of the plan until the build was over, but it worked out fine. I would love to build it again but with traditional mortise and tenon joinery instead of the screws and buttons the plan used. Not that the joinery wasn't sufficient, I would just like to to it with M&T.

Yes I have built chairs but the functional type you can build from stock wood from Big Blue and Big Orange. They are not too hard to build but are certainly not in the league of the chair in the picture. The question did not go far enough and could have been separated for those of us that don't have jointers, planers, routers, or table saws. I live with my little back saw and a century old chop saw.

I have built adirondack chairs in the past. Once using Norm's plans another set using a modified version of Marc's plans

Yep. Followed Norms plans for an adirondack chair. First one had some challenges. The next 6 or 8 were much easier. Then I tried the loveseat. From reclaimed redwood. For a customer. On a schedule. This was a very different experience than the chairs.

Yes, I have built chairs. But to say GOOD chairs, or FINE chairs, would not be accurate. Simple, functional, heavy chairs are easy. A revised question would not likely get the same answer from me.
