Should you live together before marriage?

Marriage is a lifelong commitment/covenant that you choose to make with your spouse and Jesus. Marriage is hard work!! The thing now a days is that almost everyone wants to have an escape route and that is not how it should be. If it gets hard people want out instead of working it out. I am a catholic and my husband is VERY much catholic, meaning that I would call myself a catholic but not really understand the meaning behind it and he was an ex-seminarian. One of the things that I've learned through my husband is the true meaning of Love and Commitment. My mother is on her 3rd marriage so I don't have the best example to live by but I've learned and seen what doesn't work. Living together to see if it works or not isn't love, its convenience and laziness. If you can't stand the way they leave a mess, or how irresponsible they are, you don’t need to live together to realize that. That’s something you'll learn through dating! People would rather “Play” house than become responsible for their actions. A Marriage will work because both parties involved want to make it work, because both are fully committed to one another, because they both love each other, because the word divorce does not exist…
The best advice I can give is to fully get to know each other on every level before making the decision to get married. As Catholics my husband and I took several preparation classes and went to retreats that gave us the tools to start off a good marriage. We haven’t been perfect at it and we have had our intense arguments from time to time but at the end of the day we love each other and we choose to fight for that love. We’ve learned how to communicate with one another which is huge (the most important piece in marriage)!!
For example: You hate that your husband never picks up his clothes from the floor, you can say: > I f-ing hate the way you leave your crap on the floor, you’re a dirty slob who deserves nothing from me!!!! OR you can say: Babe, sit-down I would like to talk to you. I really don’t like how you leave your clothes on the floor can you please make it a point to pick them up every day. I don’t like feeling like I’m the housemaid and that’s how I feel when I pick up after you.
Get married for the right reasons! Be sure of whom you are choosing to marry and love immensely!
Here is a reading that we chose for our wedding. We chose it because we are both being held accountable to our responsibility to one another:
Live in love, as Christ loved us
and handed himself over for us.
Be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Wives should be subordinate to their husbands as to the Lord.
For the husband is head of his wife
just as Christ is head of the Church,
he himself the savior of the body.
As the Church is subordinate to Christ,
so wives should be subordinate to their husbands in everything.
    Husbands, love your wives,
even as Christ loved the Church
and handed himself over for her to sanctify her,
cleansing her by the bath of water with the word,
that he might present to himself the Church in splendor,
without spot or wrinkle or any such thing,
that she might be holy and without blemish.
So also husbands should love their wives as their own bodies.
He who loves his wife loves himself.
For no one hates his own flesh
but rather nourishes and cherishes it,
even as Christ does the Church,
because we are members of his Body.
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother
and be joined to his wife,
and the two shall become one flesh.
    This is a great mystery,
but I speak in reference to Christ and the Church.
In any case, each one of you should love his wife as himself,
and the wife should respect her husband

I'll end it with one more quote:
"Marital love is a reflection of how God Loves. It is free, total, faithful and fruitful." Christopher West

Imagine if God said, I can't deal with you anymore I'm breaking my promise to you!?!?!
