Should men and women be put together in the same hospital rooms?
No; it puts a woman in a vulnerable position, and is at best awkward for both patients
Yes, if it means that waiting times for surgery and ER crowding can be reduced
Only if the patients themselves agree to this arrangement
The bigger issue is infection risk; no one should have to share a room when they're sick
