I voted twice - once for 'random disconnected thoughts' and once for 'images, music, other non-verbal'.

I have always hated questions that are completely open-ended and vague - this one and "what's up" or "what's going on". I prefer "what's new in your life lately" or other questions that are slightly more directed. Sometimes in our household, we ask each other for internal status reports - a summary of emotional state and what's been on your mind since the last such check-in or over the last few days.
