When you have hit the running doldrums; when you have become stuck in stale, which of the following frees you?
Keep persevering on the training plan. I have confidence that I am in a down stage of the training cycle and will come around.
Add moderate speedwork. Maybe try a fartlek tomorrow and begin to incorporate strides into my daily regimen.
Rest. I am tired. A few days rest will get me back on track.
Race this weekend. That will free me from stale.
Revert back to my speedwork days of old -- and hit the track for 10X400 meters ASAP!
