How does having a sample of an e-book affect your buying behavior?

They don't really make a difference

I've been surprised at how good a sample is, and bought a book I wouldn't have otherwise

Samples have made it less likely for me to buy a book, especially if it is badly proofread

I sometimes know I am just going to read the sample

They help me remember a book to buy later
