Well looking at your poll results above it is easy to see where JULIAR gets her massive 29 percentage approval from. What bunch of handout stretched biased moronic deluded folk you lot are. Yes JULIAR we will vote for you but please just keep giving us bludgers all them handouts. Of cause we love you JULIAR but just in case if Kevin-O-Lemon wins will you tell him to also keep the handouts flowing. Thank God there are only 80 days till clean up Australia day.

We hope and trust that the Australian people will think long and hard about the policies and the future of our country. Julia Gillard is a very strong leader, I hope you are there after September 14. Jack and Jenny

Would be interesting to see Malcolm Turnbull in poll.
    Turnbull V Abbott

  • Goodie - 11 years ago

A no brainer. Gillard government may have struggled to sell some policy/ies, I don't need to be spoon fed sold, so many of the reforms are much needed, NBN, NDIS, Gonski, Water, Health just a few. On world stage she found her groove also after short selling herself as an education specialist and more concerned domestically. Prime Minister Gillard has been mobilising, effective, rational and visionary. Caucus find Rudd impossible to work with, and Abbott is something that crawled out of a rock from 1950's.

Well, all I can say is that ANY Labor Government is better than an Abbott LNP Government! That's a fact...

  • Hannah - 11 years ago

Rudd not only betrays his party, he plays with the Australian democracy as though it is no more than a tool of his ego. He is as unsuitable to be PM as Abbott is.

Aria grow up and how the blazes can a poll be inept, persons are inept, jeeeeeez, If you don't like the options go and create your own poll. Am fed up with whingers.

Australian Labor Party have a vision for Australian-to make us a smarter, stronger & fairer nation. What is the L/NP’s vision? No idea. Vote 1 for ALP.

Julia Gillard is the most intelligent, articulate and proper leader of the Australian Labor party. Don’t throw her away.

Tells the true results of polls I'm sure most polls in msm are false and misleading .

  • Adria - 11 years ago

Need Turnball option. Those 3 are inept.

Would have loved to have seen Turnbull as well in the list to vote on. Every time I see that polling in newspapers, Turnbull always gets way more votes than Abbott?

  • Di Granger - 11 years ago

I certainly hope the result of this poll is going to be seen within MSM ... and get passed onto PM Gillard! I have to say I agree with Larry the Librarian and to have had Malcolm Turnbull on there as a potential candidate would have been interesting. Perhaps we could start a rumour about a leadership challenge between Abbott and Turnbull. The news that is not, seems to be leading news at the moment!

  • Larry the librarian - 11 years ago

I would like to have seen Malcolm Turnbull listed as he is much more popular with both ALP and LNP voters than Mr Abbott.

    Cheers for some Monday fun

  • Judy - 11 years ago

This one is much more fun than all the others, and at least as accurate. Jacqueline, I fully agree it is beyond comprehension why anyone would want Rudd - narcissism is the very least of it. As I say to anyone who cares to argue the toss: why would you want to choose the jelly over the rock?

  • sandra - 11 years ago

I think the result of the poll so far says it all really.
I know that there has only been 38 people who have voted, but the trend has already been set.
We don't believe today's Newspoll, why we, after all Murdoch OWNS Newspoll.
Perhaps Fairfax OWNED poll will come out in support of Newspoll today saying exactly the same thing.
So again, I ask the question. WHY WOULD WE BELIEVE ANYTHING THAT THESE MSM OWNERS & THEIR JOURNALISTS SAY. GO FIGURE.

Well I don't know having seen Mr Abbotts performance over the last year or so, I cannot see any plusses in his vocabulary, god help us if he starts talking or NOT talking to any governments from overseas, his body language is pretty damn poor as well, maybe it's just me, maybe it's drugs that I may have taken in the 60s regurgitating in my body. (is his psych all together there,. I for one cannot see any good being done if that man gets the top job, if he does he won't last.mark my words, thanking you.......

I cannot get my head round the fact that anyone would think Rudd should be PM again. He
betrayed his own party and everyone who voted Labor in 2010 by undermining the campaign, and he and his followers are doing the same thing again. Helped by a lazy MSM which has become a lynch mob, they are destroying Labor and when things calm down, that is how history will remember them. Gillard was asked to step up by her party when it became obvious that Rudd was a lousy PM. She did and has been pilloried ever since. She has been a good PM in spite of the vile things said about her by misogynistic (yes, misogynistic) shock jocks and members of the public, despite a hostile MSM which is obsessed by the banal but then accuses the government of being unable to sell its policies while refusing to write about them, and by an Opposition which has escaped all scrutiny and which has plumbed new depths in its vitriol towards Gillard personally and in its lack of respect for the office of the prime minister. (Two words, Mr Abbott: Sow. Reap.)

    I despair.
