Supernatural...I have no other words to say...
Much as the fangirl in me wants to vote Supernatural across the board, I had to hand it to Grimm...they did an AMAZING job of stepping up the story, characters, effects, everything this season! It reminds me of the difference in overall quality between Buffy seasons 1 and 2. Season one was cute and fun and drew me in. Season two kept me riveted and just absolutely killed it at every turn. Not to say that Supernatural didn't bring it as well. Season eight was phenomenal and I can't believe that these writers can still surprise me after eight seasons while still staying true to their existing mythos. But in the end...it had to be Grimm.
