I didn't mind the time jump. I agree that there were a lot of forced lines to tie up so many loose ends, but to some degree I understand how it was necessary as they ramp up the speed to race to the conclusion. The one thing that stood out to me the most was the inconsistency with Harrison. Granted I don't have kids so I guess I don't appreciate how quickly they might age, but he was always so quite and now he is energetic and always speaking.

I can live with the "time jump" as long as we learn during the course of the season what they did to cover it up and how Dexter convinced Debra to do whatever that was.

I think that as long as there are some flashbacks to some key transitions, like the crime scene and Deb leaving it will be ok. I agree there was a lot of lines put in around the bench to fill the gaps, which seemed kinda forced

I think they should have picked up right after LaGuerta's death and moved forward from there. It was hard to grasp that Dexter fixed the crime scene to make it look like she and the bad guy killed each other. Plus, I didn't think they handled explaining everything that had happened from that point very well. It was very mechanical the way many of the cast members explained away some story lines which needed addressing as they stood around LaGuerta's Memorial bench. It reminded me that I had heard rumors they may have more episodes in this season to tie things up. I think they should have gone that route in order to make the season more believable.
