The capital cost of the "light rail" system, overall, is massive - amounting to something like $1000 per year per household in Ottawa for a period of some 20 years.
If, instead of putting the limited choices before the public that this "poll" did, one was to ask whether Ottawa's ratepayers should assume a debt of $20,000 per house to pay for this system, then the answers might be a whole lot different than one gets from this incredibly misleading poll.
Stated more directly, anyone who is concerned about sound journalism would not participate in such silly and misleading games - let alone take a lead in them.

those are not the only three choices.
Properly studying the Carling Route would be smarter and cheaper, but the city staff won't get enough bribes if they go that way.
