What type of transit should be built in Scarborough?

The only way a LRT would make sense in Scarborough is if it was buried underground. At street-level, with the already congestion streets and sheer volume of intersections, there really wouldn't be much speed-benefit compared to bus's on the street. A red light is a red light. Cars turn left are cars turning left. Pedestrians need to cross. And vehicle accidents will happen and could stop the system until removed. Not to mention weather conditions (winters specifically) would all decrease the potential benefit of a LRT if built above-ground.

    Hi major Ford
I think upgrading to Toronto transit would be great . My question is how much more are you going to squeeze out of the Toronto residence..... when are you going to dig Into your pocket? Why can't you and your counsellors and cabinet ministers etc..... take a 10%paycut to help with subsidizing the new transit ? Why is it always the residence of Toronto footing the bill ..... thank you
