The media is acting an ass, but my studying the history, albeit briefly, of the enterprise for a project in an ethics class brought me to not expect much more at this point. Mass-media is a money machine at this point and as our shared history reports, any money machine in America tends to take on the precepts of America's progenitors. Too bad black (people &) things have proven to make excellent fuel to stoke the fires of capitalism.
They are looking for that sound bite and/or clip so they can be relevent and sell ad space.
I'd say that the media is definitely just messing with black folks at this point. Alot of it just seems dishonest and fake naivety. I wonder if all of this is just some conspiracy to spark off the race war. I lashed out at some white girl at Chipotle because she messed up the kids meal for daughter. I
was upset because prior to going to Chipotle I was at the gym on the treadmill and I had to watch Fox News gleeful coverage of the Zimmerman verdict for an hour while I ran. By the time I left, I was in full angry black man mode. All we want is to be treated fairly and not be fucked with while walking home from the store. Is that too much to ask?
