The definition of ignorance is not knowing...Grace is a gift and Christ was a real man in history. Who was in fact crucified, you sound very intelligent. There is much evidence of this fact amongst even those who disbelieve him to be God! Don't be ignorant of this fact about him. Jesus is not a religion. He is the gift of freedom from religion. Faith in Him being who He himself claims to be, The Creator, The One, The Saviour, gives you an undeniable gift! Its an incredible relationship to have!!! His love for us is unmatched!!!

I read a lot of interesting positions on the value of religion and/or spirituality. I think my lack of faith and my understanding of science and the truly chaotic nature of the Universe creates more difficulty and frustration in my life. If I had the ability to look past reason and blindly believe in a simplistic father/child relationship with a very likely beautiful continuation of my and my loved ones existence it would remove a lot of angst in my life. So blind faith through ignorance of the True nature of the Universe has huge benefits to the well being of our psyche. The answer I guess for those of us without the gift of ignorance is possibly a lobotomy.
