I am so sick of Vancouver's transit system, their poor management, lack of accountability, and an even further lack of caring for the poor and/or homeless. Now we are being blessed with a horribly flawed Compass system. I'm TRULY convinced that there needs to be a change in the spelling of "Translink". The letter "l" needs to be replaced with the letter "d"!!!!! That would sum up everything perfectly.

It's just more stupidity from translink. I only use transit once a week and when i do it's always bus to skytrain. I highly doubt I'll pay twice and more than likely I'll hop the turnstile and settle it all up in court.

if they do this they will only lose money no one will want to take public transit because of these prices and how complicated they are making it

My question is who was the point to updated The Transit System if is not going to work for the mostly of the people that have to take both commute the bus and the Skytrain to get to theirs jobs every single day?...

The Minister responsible for Transit in BC must be taken to task for handing the reins of transit in our province over to TransLink.
In the Okanagan, TransLink's gutted almost every route that is not directly serving UBC's Okanagan campuses.
Translink's other preferred child, The "97 Express" also takes buses off other routes when they want, leaving commuters on these other routes waiting for non-existant buses. Kelowna Transit claims that they do not do this, however, the drivers say otherwise.

This is almost as stupid as not having put in turnstiles when the skytrain was first built, and now having police enforce payment, bailing out translink's mistake and abusing police resources and taxpayer dollars

Yet again Vancouverites are inconvenienced by TransLink's incompetence and fiscal squandering. When and how can we fix this horribly broken system?

Well if the BC Fiberals can spend $12 million on a film festival mere weeks before a provincial election, then give themselves a 20% raise in salary. Then the blasted government can pay for this compass card transit upgrade.

What about the folks who can't afford to buy a compass card? Are they nobody? Oh well, they can just stay home. It's probably their own sad life choices that made them poor anyway. Oh, that's not what you're saying? Could have fooled me. Disgusting.

I dont see how this is going to make thing easier. What about all the single parents that are on welfare and dont get enough money or even help with bus fare tickets. I think translink made a bad idea bringing out this new pass.

So, If you take the skytrain, then take a bus, you have to pay twice? In some cases that can work out to over $20.00/ day! Might as well get a car, if it takes you that much to commute to and from work! Time to buy a car! Considering minimum wage is $10.25, That makes absolutely no sense!
