It would have been nice if Dave had finished the set, but I can understand his actions even without defending them. I remember when Chappelle's Show first came out and Dave wasn't as big yet. Then the Rick James episode came out...and while it was one of the funniest thing I'd seen in a while, seeing white kids walking around yelling "fuck your couch nigga!" signaled an obvious shift. These white people have driven Dave crazy.

I am torn because everyone in the crowd did pay to see Dave perform, but at the same time it is his place of employment and no one should have to do deal with that at work. I could not imagine a heckler sitting at my desk talking shit while I attempted to complete a Evaluation for a soldier, yes I know not the same, but I hope you get my point. I have not been to many live comedy shows, but did have the chance to see Paul Mooney perform in KC. There was one brother who attempted to heckle Mr. Mooney and the verbal assault and jokes that he placed upon this brother were fucking excellent. I am rambling because there is no clear cut answer for me. I did answer that he should have kept going, but as you see there is a but with it.
This "SAY THE CATCHPHRASE, NIGGER!" brand of heckling is the absolute worst. It's a shame that Buckwheat, Homie The Clown, Tyrone Biggums, Troy from Community, etc. are the only things people can seem to appreciate. There are so few people who seem to appreciate the art of standup comedy, and can accept that this isn't "Chappelle's Show Live™" it's a stand up set, of NEW material. I can understand why people are mad that he walked off stage, cause I'd be pissed that I couldn't see his set.
I get why he did it, but the reviews of his shows from that tour prior to that performance were very positive, and it seemed that the other crowds responded really well, and watching Dave Chappelle work out set material is a fucking treat! I got to see Hannibal Buress working on new stuff and it was incredible too. This special brand of heckling is yet another reason dudebros can eat all the dicks, in all the universes, in all the alternate realities. Peace y'all.
