What a blessing it was to have known grandpa Carl Bennett for the past 8 years I have been with my husband. He was such an amazing man beyond what he had done for NBA. I'm really going to miss him this Christmas - he always had the mic and he was a comedian! God truly has him beside him right now. Miss you Grandpa Bennett!!!! Love you!
My father who passed away this past May was proud of Fort Wayne and proud to work for such a fine man as Fred Zollner that allowed him to the opportunity to bring National Fast Pitch Championships and National Basketball History to Fort Wayne. His perseverance in getting Fred into the NBA Hall of Fame along with several Piston players was highlight of dad's sports career. Thank you for remembering Fort Wayne! God Bless Fort Wayne.
The importance of starting such an important nations sports organization, as the NBA, far outweighs any minor sports organization, or individual athlete, even though he was a great one.
