It's very smart of Bertolli Germany to quickly respond and say that they support all lifestyles in the midst of a boycott against Barilla's products so people will then buy their brand.
No, I don't think this response to Barilla's statements is the right way to do it. Equality among the LGBT community is a hot issue right now and the Facebook post didn't seem to be too genuine.
Creating a commercial to air after the anti-gay comments were made would have been more effective.
