I love Francona from his years here, and I think when you take into account the fact that his ball club has far fewer dollars to dole out to players and he still was able to bring a team (also doing badly laster year) to above 90 wins in the regular season.
Come on Boston....Francona had about 1/3 the payroll to work with and a much more adverse atmosphere to overcome! Give the man a tip of the hat and good luck to you next year!
