I didn't change my name until I was married almost 3 years and 7 months pregnant. I very much wanted my husband and my daughter and I to all have the same name, no hyphens, solely my husband's last name. If we didn't decide to have children, I might not have ever changed my name. Although my husband was not happy about my reluctance to change my name, and almost hurt by it, he respected my decision.
