It's 2 country's dominican rep and haiti
I'm Dominican and my best friend is haitian
His words no mine is
I'M HAITIAN AND I CAN NOT GO TO A FOREIGN COUNTRY AND VIOLATED THEIR LAWS
IF I COME TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC ILLEGAL
I NEED TO FIX MY LEGAL STATUS PERIOD
but this hatians stay illegally for decades and my government know that and we use to live together
But their don't wanna fix their legal issue
What happen with the mexicans or salvadoreans , ecuatorians come illegally trough the U.S. border
Their got deported
Dominican rep don't have the same resources of the U.S. and we have to do what we have to do to defend our borders
Haitians wanna unifide the island and that's don't gonna happend I'll tell the truth some dominicans are racist even with the same dominicans but dominicans are not more racist than the U.S.
In the dominican republic don't kill for racial hate

I think that was a very ignorant comment. You must be Dominican. What you have to understand is that these people were born, raised and speak your language. They are a part of you to decide one day and deny them of their birth rights. Stript them from any sort of rights they have is in human. You must stop this self hatred behavior because it is not good for any one of us. Weather or not you consider yourself black is your ignorant self but history and society lets you know what race you are as they are not bashful about it.

Racist law?? People should study a little before they talk.
only 20% of the countries of the world grant you automatic citizenship when you are born there.
USA is the exception because is a huge country and need immigrants.

Also that applies both ways.. Haiti do not grant citizenship neither if your parents are Haitians,, And they go a step further, saying that the person should be black... :
Decree of November 6, 1984-Nationality of Origin-Article 2-"Any person born in Haiti, of a foreign father or, if not recognized by his father, of a foreign mother, so long as he is descended from the black race"

why should the Dominican republic be punished? Haiti is burden that the country can not carry by its self.
if we give every person borne in the Dominican Republic of Haitian parents citizenship in 40 to 50 years there will not be a Dominican republic anymore, because these people will elect people like them to office. the Haitians have destroyed their part of the island we can't and will not pay for that. the DR is not a big country like the US. it can not absorb thousands of people and still have the same cultural and land integrity. if the DR and Haiti were united it would be a disaster because we do not have the same culture or speak the same language. we would not get alone as one people. the DR has to help resolve some of the many problems in Haiti but it can not take on more then it should.
