My wife and I think the cubs should be Bonny & Clyde. There's a lot of interest lately (History Channel) regarding that duo and those cubs look like trouble (smile). What do you think?

My vote would be for Lucy and Linus, the squabbling van Pelt siblings from Peanuts. It would be a nice tribute to the memory of Charles Schultz and all he contributed to America.

My Children think Luke & Leia are perfect names. If you remember Luke & Leia's mother died in child birth.
The cubs are soooo darn cute.
I believe the male cub should be named zawadi which translates to gift in Swahili. A fitting name for the female lion cub would be azazi which translates to priceless item or treasure in Swahili. Both of these names are very fitting for the lion cubs because of the loss of Badu due to birth complications. Looking at a bigger picture these two cubs are also treasures because they are the first lion cubs born in the history of The Maryland Zoo.
The lion cubs should be named Kelsey and Dylan after two babies who exhibit some of the same characters as the lion cubs; as described on WJZ morning news. Kelsey is a 10 month old baby girl--aggressive, out-spoken, fearless, outgoing, starts mischief with her brother, 2 year old Dylan, who happens to be a little less aggressive than Kelsey, somewhat timid and Kelsey's victim from time-to-time.
Two absolutely adorable babies that love each other! Dylan is more of the caregiver in regards to Kelsey and Kelsey is loving but very rough around the edges. These two also look just alike with minor differences.
In cuteness and in character the names Dylan and Kelsey would be perfect for the two cubs!

These guys are so cute. I just loved their interaction with Lynn Bui. I chose Kulu and Madoa because of the Hawaiian Polynesian ancestry. I'm not sure if there has been names with that connection at the Bmore zoo before and although there is not much information on the name Madoa the name Kulu has many meanings. The meaning that stood out most to me was the importance of family, community, and respect of your fellow man. Although I didn't like the fact that if an idea seemed more reasonable whether to the good or detrement of a situation someone with the name Kulu would be more apt to follow the person most passionate. Not good. But then again Circa turned men into animals with her wand, not sure if she turned them back. What can I say I'm a female who happens to like men in the form of a man:)
