I think the Iowa Hawkeyes will win because of the coaching and the discipline they have when they travel to Bowl Games. I think more Iowa fans will be in the stands due to Iowans wanting a break from winter. LSU has sold very few tickets. Iowans living in Texas are also traveling in groups to the game. Iowa's quarterback is a premed student and will be very prepared and can withstand any stress that may come his way (except an injury). Being from Florida, he will probably have a lot of family and friends at the game. He will be comfortable in Florida. Players like James Morris will also be playing their last game in the Iowa uniform and will be playing at an extremely high level...more than normal. I also heard that LSU's starting safety will not be traveling to the game, along with two other players. Also, Iowa did not make it to a bowl game last year and sitting out for the fun was not what Iowa fans wanted. Who has the athletic talent? LSU probably has the talent in this area, but other things can sometimes win the big games. If I was a betting person, I would bet on Iowa winning this game, but it will be close. So GOOD LUCK Iowa! You deserve a win! Can smart beat athletic? I hope so!
Who will win? Well if the Hawkeyes play their 4-2 defense and man to man coverage the Tigers will struggle inn the passing game. LSU will try to pound the ball up the middle and at the tackles. The front four will be the KEY to the success to a very good game. I don't think LSU is over rated they are a very good team, yes they did fall to Alabama and two other good teams. Lets FACE it the big ten doesn't have the good teams like the SEC does. But IOWA plays with a motivation and with heart, and they play for the team not because IOWA is in the outback bowl. Its simple, effort and heart and hard work beats TALENT. Iowa will win the OUTBACK BOWL because the believe.
The key to this game is if Iowa can shut down the LSU running game. If they can Iowa wins by two touchdowns. If not it will be a nail bitter!

Yes, when the hail mary pass resulted in a touchdown, that would be considered a win. Either the Hawkeyes won that game which made them better than a lot of people gave them credit for, or LSU lost that game and were overrated... Either way, it was a Win in our column and a Loss in LSU's. And you say the only reason the Hawks may have a chance in this game is because LSU is playing without its 1st string QB, huh? Sounds like you're making excuses for your next loss already :)
