Poll: Where would you set the minimum wage?

Small Businesses can not afford to pay $15/hour for minimum wage workers. As owner of an independant small grocery store, we are constantly fighting the prices of the big box stores. An increase in minimum wages would definately close us down and there would go 15 more jobs off the market. The big box stores would also feel the effect of this increased cost and would have to increase their pricing to offset this. In the end, your minimum wage worker would end up spending his "extra" hourly wage on same merchandise that he now has to pay more for. They will never be ahead. Minimum wage workers are really meant for students or for spouses that are supported by a higher income partner.

If minimum wage increases, all other wages will rise in agreement. This is also means that other costs will rise proportionally. It is a vicious circle that one cannot get out of.
