Several of today's covers fail to give an adequate indication of what the story might be about. "Odin's Murder" requires the reader to know beforehand who Odin was and that the raven was his bird. The best is "Distant Places..." because the reader is shocked to see an octopus's tentacle in the foreground. That makes you want to see what's inside!
