I'm 70. In my 30s I was very depressed and contemplating self-harm. A therapist worked with me and then moved me onto your book, which became a bible of sorts for a number of years, and was loaned to other people in crisis. It helped a lot. I have used Cognitive Behavioural techniques to help me overcome personal issues, and also tune out tinnitus which is ever-present but my awareness of it is controlled (mostly).
It's certainly a useful book and your almost namesake thanks you for it.

Hi David, very helpful list. Having received CBT, which has helped tremendously with a range of issues, I was familiar with the negative distortions but hadn't applied the reverse to my severe and health destroying overeating. I'm buying your books Feeling Good and 10 steps to Self Esteem. Is there any further reading you could recommend?
