My first vote is "New American TV series based on historical novels," because I'm GREEDY and want to see him on TV every week (hehehe)! But honestly, I really don't care what he does as long as he does SOMETHING post-Hobbit!
I would like him to get some work instead of spending so much time with interviews. I really don't mind which kind of work so much, but I would love to see him in something romantic and something with a happy ending where he doesn't die at the end, PLEASE!! Like in North and south. So much more fun to watch happy ends again and again!
I would prefer the TV series as one gets to see more of him and longer than in just a movie.
I am thinking maybe it is a sort of compliment that he doesn't seem to find work so easily. The casting agencies have to make an effort to match actors so one doesn't overwhelm the others. As Richard draws the attention on him without fail, it must be difficult for the other actors sometimes.
As much as I would love to see him do a stage production, I feel like it limits the accessibility of the fandom--and I also would just love to see him work, whether in movies or tv. I'm still struggling with the fact that he hasn't had more opportunities in the US so far. These casting directors are either blind or just plain dumb--or both?
