No idea. The lease says no subletting, hence why they need to ask permission/change the lease.
I'm probably being overly fearful of both options.
I don't want to say yes because the previous tenants were so awful I don't want to trade good tenants for the potential of bad.
I don't want to say no because the previous tenants were (kind of) nice-ish and then became so awful the first time we had to say something they didn't want to hear.

Who do they plan on subleasing to? If family or close friends sure. If rando's then maybe not. What does the lease contract state?
