Who Was Right About Man Of Steel?

I agreed with Rod, I hated the sappy Superman movies too. A real Superman would fuck some niggas up, end of of story and it's a movie who gives a fuck about him being kind and gentle. NIGGA go Super Saiyan on them Kryptonian bitches. Oh and Carmelo went Super Saiyan on them Bobcats. 62!!!!!!

I disagree with the notion that Superman did not care about Metropolis in MOS. He did the best he could given the circumstances. Zod did not come to earth to fight Superman. He only wanted the codex. Once he had it he didn't care about superman. If he really didn't care about humanity he would have let Zod convert earth and he still would have been good. Why would anyone hate a good movie just because Clark Kent is not perfect. I would not want to see a terrible ass movie whose goal is show how much of a boy scout he is. Also, fuck anyone who had a problem with him killing Zod. A living Micheal Shannon is dangerous in any universe.

I think nerds like Mike have a nostalgic sense of the characters they grew up with, and their criticisms end up coming off as nitpicking in defense of their nostalgia. I'm 32 years old, and if I'm being honest about the comic book based tv shows and movies I grew up watching in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's, most of that shit was lame as fuck. Folks like Mike are trying to hang onto the shit they loved as kids, and in doing so, they nitpick and shit on the re-imagining of the characters they grew up loving. Rod was spot on- if you take each new movie/tv series as a re-imaging of the characters or just in an alternate universe, without the holding on to previous ideas or notions of the characters, these new comic book movies and tv series can be much more enjoyable. To my fellow nerds: Stop being so damn invested in these characters!

Mike's main argument against MOS was "I think Superman should behave like [THIS], and since he did not behave like [THIS] in MOS, MOS is a bad movie." That shit is dumb. I feel like a lot of nerds walk into movies with their arms crossed and a frown on their face, looking for reasons to be mad. All because they don't want to let go of some shit from their childhood. Why not walk into a movie with no expectations of the movie or preconceived notions of the characters, and then just enjoy what you see on screen?
