Space tech would be a fan favorite, but I don't see it happening.
Climate change, though, is like a tanker heading for the iceberg. It takes a while to turn those thing, and there is so much resistance to making any effort.
Granted, income inequality does help support this intransigence but everything is connected to everything. If we don't address climate change then all the income inequality will just slow down the demise of the riches.

I find all subjects to be quite compelling drivers for future success; How ever I find that all drivers listed in the poll are all sub-aspects of one in particular: inequality. The state of the economic systems and political systems are so undoubtedly controlled by the power of money. When money is out of the hands of the majority, the power then goes to a minority. When a small group has the majority power, it is quite easy for them to make changes in their favor, ignoring the subsequent events we are faced with today. It is my belief that one day, activists from all organizations may collaborate and work together on the most important of all their work: the betterment of society. Each TED conference I watch, I am inspired. Every TED idea that draws me in, is motivating. But every TED member does not have just a great "idea worth spreading," they have an "idea worth collaborating."

I believe that it is a combination of social media and society projections through magazines and movies which encourage the increasing rates of inequality socially and economically. The images and messages that children are unconsciously absorbing, that we all are absorbing, daily mold how we treat and view ourselves, each other, and the rest of the world. It is a part of the cycle of socialization, but how we react to the society's messages will form our future and everything that we find important.
