How Is General Motors Handling The Recall?

I voted 'Yes' on this question from what I currently know. I think that GM has recovered somewhat from this ignition screw-up, but still has a ways to go. HOWEVER, if General Motors wants to give itself another huge black eye, just start importing GM cars manufactured in China! I for one will say to 'GOOD BYE' to GM, and I have been a General Motors guy all my life.

Bob Lutz is correct - in Car Guys and Bean Counters - GM is held to a higher standard. Customers will treat GM differently than they treat Toyota. The average consumer in the U.S. has no idea of senior Toyota executive compensation but knows all about Mary Barra's $14M package - and others - thanks to press accounts etc. For that and other reasons, GM will have to work harder to repair its image. At least this time around, GM seems to recognize that. No point in complaining about it. Bob Lutz has done enough of that - and wasn't the Cobalt his program? Sorry, Bob.
