I wish these lawmakers would worry about government spending and the fact that Illinois can't pay its bills and the state has a very big problem re: the pension mess it got itself into. The last thing they should be worrying about is getting another Big Ten school!!! SMH
This is stupid and a waste of time.
The Big Ten considers new schools based on $$$ associated with the Big Ten Network. Its not a big secret. No Illinois school will expand the TV market coverage. Plus, don't think other Illinois schools are part of the AAU which is basically a requirement the Big Ten has historically stated. If these state senators did any research whatsoever, they would understand there is no way the Big Ten picks up another Illinois school.
