No. The problem with hip-hop is the it changes very quickly and artist are very slow to adapt. That is the reason why NY artists are losing right now. They are too busy trying to bring 1996 back instead of progressing with the times. Most fans don't care about many artist's albums by the time they turn 50; what keeps them going are the live shows. Most rappers do not take that aspect serious enough for them to live off that. Also Hip-Hop is not really meant to be performed in large stadiums. The music will always sound exponentially better in your headphones than it will at a live performance. When I was younger I went to rap concerts because of the energy, not for the quality of performance. When rappers start taking performing most serious and professionally they can have careers like Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones.

Speaking as someone much nearer 60 than 50, I can tell you that, erm, what was it was going to say again? I know it was something. It'll come back to me.
