I have just retired from active duty after 26 years. Also, my father who fought in WWII is still with us and I always march in the parade in Pine Plains when I get a chance. I served in two wars and I think it important for families to understand the lives we have lost in the past, present and future. Freedom is not free and I have seen many soldiers come home for their final time. Understand life is short and many military personnel have seen there life cut short to protect our country.
