How do we really know? There seems to be a news blackout about this subject. I have tried repeatedly to contact Mrs. Mary Barra , the new CEO of GM about this subject, but have not been able to penetrate the wall of bureaucracy surrounding her. I would hope that the subject has been dealt with satisfactorily by now. I do know that Mrs. Barra has fired all GM people having any responsibility for this engineering disaster. That's a good start. Let's hope that with Mrs. Barra's engineering background at GM, mistakes like this will be a thing of the past.
