I have adapted to the slow left lane driver. I drive in the right lane all the time. Want an empty lane. Take the right one.

If a complete investigation of all accidents was implemented and all data recorded, I think the linkage to accidents that either were of a direct result of somebody dawdling in the passing lane or at least a factor in the accident, people would be shocked. I fear however that this may not affect their behaviour as there are likely oblivious to other people in the first place. The dawdlers include people from both groups, narcissistic and righteously indignant, some drivers are in both groups.
