EVENTHOUGH I WORKED IN THE REFRESHMENT COMPANY(BILL HENNIGER, ALICE, MARYLOUISE) THE BUMPER CARS WAS A FAVORITE. I CAN STILL SEE THE SPARKS FROM THE STRAPS AND SMELL THE GREASE. ALOT OF FINE MEMORIES AND NEW FRIENDS MADE WORKING MY 5 SUMMERS THERE
When we were young my husband and I both loved the Kiddieland ride, the name of which I can't recall, where you sat down and pumped w/both hands producing locomotion along a track. Both my husband and my dreams as kids was to have our Dads install one in our backyards. Unfortunately we both grew up!
This was hard to pick, but as always from the Duquesne Hunky, it conjured up so many good memories.
Worked many places. The Tower,Kiddyland,The Dance hall,Rockets,Merry go Round (with Tony Sacramento). We got .44cents per hour.
I worked at the Dipsy Doodle during the war years 43 44 45. . I was in the 10th 11th 12th grade.
Hard to pick just one! I was an employee at the park for 4 summers - mostly in refreshments but worked on the Grand Prix bumper cars one summer. Very fond memories of both being an employee and a guest.
