Actually Chinese is not a language...Mandarin, Cantonese, etc. are the major languages that the Chinese speak, but there is no "Chinese".

I assume that I would magically become fluent in the language that I chose, so my choice was Chinese -- the most difficult of the choices and also an increasingly-useful language.
