Greg--I would take measurements and actually figure out if it will fit Blueberry and for how long. If the answer is no, or for just a little bit of time--frog it! Hopefully the knitting time that you did spend on it brought you calm, which is a product. And I'm sure you learned some things in the knitting process. Use the yarn to knit something you can have only wonderful thoughts of. And being a busy dad, your knitting time is precious. Just do it--it's O.K.!
