After reading the article & hearing what folks had to say about the mess & problems, I have changed my mind on this matter. If they dont or won't organize & follow rules then they shouldn't be allowed.

Why should they have a permit. I lived in Kittitas County for 10 years and all they do is try to collect money for everything tourist do and also residents. They don't need to maintain the rivers so there is no cost to them or the lakes. I think that all the out of towners need to stay out of Kittitas County and let the economy tank and maybe then people will see that "Out of Towners" are there bread in butter.

I think they bring tax dollars to the county, not to mention the money they spend passing through. Either the county can provide trash cans & toilets or maybe these could be an organized event. There has to be a solution as one can clearly see that a lot of people enjoy this activity.
